A plate heat exchanger is a heat exchanger made up of a series of corrugated metal sheets. Thin rectangular channels are formed between various plates, and heat exchange is carried out through the plates.
Working pressure ≤ 1.6MPa;
Working temperature≤150℃;
Plate materials :stainless steel 304, 316, 316L, titanium,hastelloy etc
Thickness of the plate: 0.6-0.8mm;
Gasket materials include EPDM, nitrile rubber, fluorine rubber, etc.;
The total heat transfer coefficient is as high as 3500-7500W/m2·K;
Flow resistance is generally 5mH2O
Plate heat exchangers are ideal equipment for liquid-liquid and liquid-vapor heat exchange. It has the characteristics of high heat exchange efficiency, low heat loss, compact and lightweight structure, small footprint, wide application, long service life and so on. Under the same pressure loss, the heat transfer coefficient is 3-5 times higher than that of the tube heat exchanger, the floor space is one-third of the tube heat exchanger, and the heat recovery rate can be as high as 90% or more.
According to their appearance, which can be divided into four categories:
1.Removable plate heat exchanger (also called plate heat exchanger with sealing gasket)
2. Welded plate heat exchanger
3.Spiral plate heat exchanger
Among them, welded plate heat exchangers are further divided into: semi-welded plate heat exchangers, fully welded plate heat exchangers, plate and shell heat exchangers, and brazed plate heat exchangers.
1.Heat transfer conditions:It is especially suitable for liquid-liquid heat exchange with large flow and small temperature difference.
2.Thorough cleaning:All can be disassembled for thorough cleaning.
3.Easy to change the heat exchange area or process combination: By increasing or reducing a few plates, the heat transfer area can be increased or reduced.
